Have you ever just sat still and done absolutely nothing?
Sometimes sitting quietly can be the most fulfilling experience in your day.
Just sitting. Doing nothing. Breathing. Listening.
And when you listen, you can let your body and mind just feel. When you feel, you actually help your body and mind feel good.
Let’s do a listening exercise together.
Sit comfortably.
We will begin by moving our body.
Stretching left and right.
Twisting from side to side.
Now that we got some energy out, lets settle down.
If you are comfortable, close your eyes. If you prefer to keep them open, that is ok too.
Take a deep breath. In. And. Out.
Imagine you are sitting outside, surrounded by things that make you happy and comfortable.
Maybe there are flowers in a circle around you or a big tree giving you shade.
Imagine how the sun feels on your body. Is it cool or warm where you are sitting?
Feel the ground below you. Are you on grass or on a rock or on the sand at a beach?
Take a deep breath.
In. And. Out.
Listen to the music and just sit. The music is like the wind around you, just helping your mind wander to where ever it wants to go.
Breathe. In and out. Listen.

Now, let’s take another breath. In and out.
Come back to your body.
You can open your eyes.
You are back here where we started.
You can move your body again.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
And stretch your body, left and right.
