*’Remember’ here is the literal meaning of the original lyric (‘baloey naa’) derived from the cultural tradition of the Punjab region, where ‘baloey’ is a verb, an action of converting (with physical action) yoghurt into a thick dairy local drink, called ‘lassi’. Hence to repeat the action
(of remembering Allah’s name) so much that the hardness in the heart gets converted into a smooth form, a symbol of finding ‘oneness’ with the Divine (called ‘tauheed’ in the Islamic/Sufic context).
**The product here, is the ‘lassi’, in the metaphoric context explained above, to convey repetition of the Divine name(s). The significance of this repetition of action has been emphasized by Sufi’s over the centuries.
***’False saints’ are the ones in the sub-continental cultures, who for the sake of ego boost or authority motives, preach readings without actually understanding the basic essence of the teachings they are just passing on. They preach without practicing.
