Hi there!

Welcome to this guided meditation on focus brought to you by Sleepy Beanzzz.

Let's start by getting into a comfortable position. Whether that's sitting up or lying down.

Today's meditation aims to help provide clarity for the day's head. Helping you to focus better throughout today and beyond.

Let's begin by transporting our mind to a snowy mountaintop.

As we look around there are thick white clouds that move slowly across the bright, crisp sky.

You're high up and can breathe in the fresh snowy air.

Why don't we do a breathing exercise aimed to help clear any unwanted thoughts from our mind as we sit here in the breeze?

This is an exercise we like to call 'mountain breaths!'

Take a slow deep breath in, directing our breathing into our bellies.

As you're breathing, feel your belly expand, filling up so that it rises like a tall mountain!

Then we are going to breathe out, letting the air in our bellies lower.

Releasing all of our busy thoughts in our head, and relaxing any tension in our body to feel calm, clear and focused.

If your attention wanders in these exercises, that's okay, don't worry. Allow yourself to come back to your space of clarity when you are ready. It will become easier the more you practise.

Let's repeat the exercise.

Breathe in through your nose, filling your belly with air. Allowing it to rise like a big mountain.

Then clear your mind and breathe out any distractions. Focus on being present in the moment.

Why don't we sit here for a short while and focus on our breath and take in the sense of calm and stillness that we felt in the exercise?

Remember you are safe and let any worries melt away.

Take in the surrounding background noises.

Can you hear the gentle swinging of the wind chimes in the breeze? It provides the perfect lull as we sit here and focus on being present.

Looking at the clouds as they pass whilst the wind brushes against our skin.

Allowing the feelings of peace and stillness to wash over our body, wrapping us in a bubble of tranquillity where we have positive thoughts for the rest of the day and beyond and can focus better on tasks that are presented to us.

We're now going to finish off this guided meditation with some mantras based on focus.

Let's say these together.

I have the power to focus

I am present

I feel calm and peaceful

I have control of my mind

When you’re ready gently open your eyes and come away from the mountains back into the world.
