I love my dad because of the big things he does for me. And the little things too.
Every day. From the earliest morning to the latest nights, he is always there.
Every morning, at 7: 30 sharp, he comes out of his room to make me breakfast.
While I eat, he he folds my blankets and cleans up my bed
Then afterwards, he always carries my extra bags like swim bags.
Even though his arm sometimes hurts.
And every day when we wait in front of the elevator to go to school,
He always sees that my shoes are worn like slippers, with the heel sticking out.
And everytime, he would sigh and bend down and put my shoes back in place.

I can always stand in front circle and know that he will come in the silver car
I would see him all the way across the street
And every time we get home. He would take my bags.

I never even ask.

He always leaves to make sure I get to sit there instead

The familiar sizzle and chopping of vegetables and meat fill the rooms

He would always ask if we liked the food at the dinner table

Proud of the food he makes us every dinner
After dinner, he sets out a plate of fruits to me
And knows that I have braces and the apple will get stuck so he cuts it all up for me to enjoy
And then every night, he set my bed out for me
So I can hop right into it every night whenever I want
Every time I am about to go to bed
He always says goodnight to me.
