Blanket Of Fog (Or is it Smog?)歌词完整版
The next morning, Lucky wakes up to find the city wrapped in a thick fog. It was so dense that he could hardly see his paw! Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time Lucky had encountered fog this thick. Over the years this would happen more frequently as the number of vehicles and factories increased in the city. The fog would wrap the city in a thick dense blanket and stay for days at a time. Today it was so bad that the street signs were almost impossible to read! It was hard to know where you were going. Lucky would see people covering their faces to stop them from breathing in the fumes and pollutants in the air. As lucky was an older dog, he’d experienced his fair share of bad weather and fog but he’d never experienced it like this before. Lucky was slightly worried that he would struggle to find his way through the fog to the junkyard. However, he was excited for the day ahead, so carried on. Off lucky went into the streets of the city. Pausing and keeping his nose to the ground to find familiar scents to follow, as visibility was too poor to see anything.
Just at that moment Lucky felt a sharp pain and let out a yelp
OW! That was my tail!
Sorry! I didn’t see you down there!
Shouted a voice. Lucky decided to find an alternative route as he had, had enough of people shoving him and getting his tale trampled on.He picked up the scent of what he thought was a sneaky shortcut, that would take him through the back alleys to the junkyard.
Ahh, that’s better! At least this route is a bit quieter for an old dog like me. My ears can’t take the loud noises of the city anymore. Especially when I'm surrounded by such thick fog and I’m relying purely on my nose for navigation.
Lucky noticed up ahead, an opening through the fog. Being a curious old dog he walked in the direction of the opening.
At the end of the alley, the street opened up into a large park. Looking around, Lucky is now able to see his surroundings. He realises that he doesn’t recognise anything here. He had never been to this part of the city before.
