Welcome.
I am Dania and I will guide you through a bedtime meditation.
In this meditation, we will invite warmth and rest into the whole body,
letting go to ease into relaxation with each part of your body.
Start by getting comfortable as you lay down.
Consider covering yourself with a blanket
because your body temperature might drop as you slowly relax.
Close your eyes and take a moment
to observe the quietness around you,
feeling the stillness of your body
and the spaciousness of your breath,
letting the breath move through you
effortlessly, in its gentle, natural rhythm.
Allow the body to settle deeper into stillness
with each outgoing breath.
Then feel the surface beneath you.
Feel every part of your body that is touching the ground,
sensing the support which the ground provides.
As you sink into this support,
feel an energetic exchange happening
between your body and the earth.
Your body releases its weight down,
the earth nourishes and carries you.
Then let your awareness move to the back of your head
and let it slowly travel down towards your feet,
all the way along the points of contact
to the surface beneath you.
Once you arrived at your feet,
focus your conscious awareness
on the contact between your heels
and the surface beneath,
sensing the grounding, the support.
Then imagine, that a stream of warm light
rises from the source of the earth
all the way up through these points of contact into your feet.
Let the warm light flow into your body,
slowly and gently moving through each corner of your feet,
spreading warmth, softness and relaxation.
It is as if this light switches of the hard work in your muscles,
allowing each muscle to rest.
Wherever the light illuminates your body,
muscles become soft and calm,
releasing all tension into the endless source of warm light.
Let the light touch each cell
of your left foot and your right foot.
Then slowly let the light expand further,
traveling upwards through your ankles,
spreading throughout your lower legs,
your knees.
your upper legs,
leaving a warm and calm sensation,
bringing relaxation to each muscle,
every cell in the landscape of your body,
letting go of any tension
in each and every part of your body.
Then let the light travel further upwards,
spreading through your hip groins,
your pelvis, your buttocks,
lower belly, lower back.
Let the light move further upwards
slowly expanding into each corner of your body.
Spreading warmth and softness,
bringing calm.
Let the light travel up along your spine,
your upper back and shoulders.
Let the light expand into your upper arms,
ellbows, lower arms, wrists, hands and fingers,
releasing anything that’s not serving you right now
as you are finding restoring rest.
Feel the warmth and nourishment
from the endless source of illuminating light.
Let the light expand all the way into your neck,
the back of the head,
further spreading towards the crown of your head,
your forehead,
letting each and every muscle to become soft.
Also relaxing the corners of your eyes, your eyelids,
and softening your eyes behind your eyelids,
allowing the gaze behind your closed eyes
to drop back and down.
Safe and sound.
Let the light illuminate your cheeks, your ears,
your lips, your mouth, your tongue,
the roof of your mouth, the floor of your mouth,
your throat,
and all the way through the insides of your ears
and the whole inside of your head.
Clearing all tension, all worries, all thoughts,
spreading softness and calm,
radiating clarity and warmth.
Let the light slowly switch off your awareness,
as it flows through your whole body.
Feel the support of the earth
and embrace that energetic exchange
as you effortlessly move
towards a deep and restful sleep.
