Hot Day In The City歌词完整版
Lucky was an old dog who grew up living in a bustling city. He was familiar with the twists and turns of the streets and knew them like the back of his shaggy paw. Lucky noticed how the landscape over the years started to change within his city. The streets and roads became busier and busier with more people and vehicles filling them. The vehicles would produce thick, grey puffs of smoke, which would come out of their exhausts. Causing the streets to fill up with horrid smells and fumes. These would get right inside Lucky’s nose and make him cough and sneeze.
On his walk home, Lucky would pass through many factories. These were loud and noisy from all the drilling and machinery. If Lucky became too close to the site, he could feel the vibrations through his paws, and his ears would start to ring and hurt. Lucky noticed how new factories popped up every year around the city. He saw thick black smoke billowing from the chimneys above that lingered in the air. Lucky always wondered where the smoke went.
It was a boiling hot day and the heat was getting to Lucky. Weaving in and out of people's legs and trying not to get in the way of the vehicles, Lucky decided to venture downtown in search of a spot in the shade so he could cool off. Lucky noticed his good friend Charlie up ahead. Sitting in a spot of shade under a doorway.
Hey there, Charlie!
Greeted Lucky, happy to see one of his best pals. They had grown up alongside each other in the city. Always exploring and looking out for one another.
Why hello Lucky! How’s it going?Where are you off today?
Nowhere in particular really. I just wanted to find a cool spot as I’m struggling with this heavy coat in the heat today. You know me though, even the hot weather won’t stop me from getting out!
You would be quite a lucky dog indeed if you managed to find a cool spot in this heat!
Charlie said with a slight grin.
You got a nasty cough there Lucky!
Charlie points out, concerned for his friend.
You should really get it checked out.
You don’t want it to get any worse.
Oh, I’m fine! You know me, don’t like to make a fuss.
Well, you don’t want it to get any worse!Your health is important Lucky.
I’m sure it’s just a bit of dust from when I walked past the factories. I’ll be fine!
Yeah, it’s not just the factory sites that are dusty. The city is full of fumes from all the vehicles on the roads. All the burning of trash won’t help either!
Can’t argue there, it’s hard to take a proper breath without coughing these days. What are you up to today then, Charlie?
I’ve got nothing planned, aside from trying to keep cool!
You wanna go sniff about in the junkyard tomorrow?
Lucky asked eagerly, a favorite activity shared between the two dogs.
Yeah, that sounds good! Why don’t I meet you there around 10?
Perfect!See you then!
Lucky continued his search for a cool spot, leaving Charlie to relax in the doorway.
