It was a new day and the ocean was filled with rays from the sun. Henrik the hermit crab had just woken up from a much-needed rest. Stretching out his pincers and letting out a big yawn he scuttles over to his window to open the curtains which filled his shell home with a warm, golden glow.
What a beautiful day it is!
Thought Henrik, smiling to himself.
He looked at his calendar on the wall, the date 22nd April had a big red circle around it. This date was important to Henrik as it had been 16 months since he last changed his shell.
Ahh! That would make sense!
Thought Henrik pensively, tapping his foot.
I have been so uncomfortable and cramped in my shell recently, which would explain the lack of sleep I’ve been having and the fact I’ve been more hungry and thirsty all month! Well, today will be the day that I go searching to find my new home!
Henrik said with glee and determination. He spent the best part of the morning moving his few possessions out into sea storage.
All this moving has made me build up quite an appetite I think I will go over to Dory’s cafe to have some food and come up with a plan.
