So this is what’s called a landfill site. Clothing get’s disposed of here as waste, when they’re no longer wanted and have been thrown out.
It looks so sad! Like a fashion graveyard! But why are they getting thrown away?

It’s the term in the clothing industry that describes the way in which garments are produced at a rapid speed and in large amounts. But they’re made at a lower cost to make sure that there are always new styles in the shops and entering the market all the time.

Exactly! And as this cycle of fast fashion continues, you will find what you bought recently will go out of style a lot quicker as there are constant new styles coming in. We find ourselves getting rid of the clothes we have just bought and throwing them away to buy newer ones, to replace them. Just because they’re not deemed as ‘fashionable’ anymore. We’re buying more but re-wearing less.
Ah, I have to admit, I am guilty of that. I constantly buy new styles to keep up with the trends.
