Second Chapter: The Birds looking for the Garden of Happiness歌词完整版
The wise man explained that once upon a time the birds of the sky were looking for a king to lead them and bring them peace and prosperity.
So the birds turn to the Hoopoe and ask him: You are the bird of Solomon and we know that you say nothing but the truth. Please tell us how we can find our king!
The Hoopoe replied: In order to find your king, you must experience pain. And he added: The name of your king is ‘Simorgh’, revealing himself only to whom has drunk the blood of his heart (meaning wine) while, being in pain:
Strange, is it not? that of the myriads who Before us pass'd the door of Darkness through, Not one returns to tell us of the Road, Which to discover we must travel too.
The birds now all claimed that they were in pain and eager to find their king, but they had many belongings that they could not part with:
The Nightingale told of his love for Flowers, the Peacock of his longing for Paradise and the Bullfinch of finding his Mate. Each one of them had another excuse.
But the Hoopoe told them that - the fear of hardships, the attachment to the world and the preoccupation with individual and social affairs - will not result in meeting the Simorgh. The Hoopoe said:

Oh, come with old Khayyam, and leave the Wise To talk; one thing is certain, that Life flies; One thing is certain, and the Rest is Lies; The Flower that once has blown for ever dies.
He continued: In order to achieve this, you will have to travel the Seven Cities of Love.
